 Why don't we cover the desert with solar panels?

 

What interests me is that the way solar panels work makes me feel the importance of science.But while solar panels are a renewable energy source, the production process may not be so environmentally friendly, and if solar panels are covered in the desert, they could damage desert ecosystems.If people want to make their lives better and protect the entire planet, they should adopt a more environmentally friendly and scientific approach.
