 1.Summary

Deviation is a behavior or attitude that is contrary to a particular social norm or value. It covers a wide range of behaviors, from minor violations of rules to violations of the law, as well as violations of social morals or cultural expectations. Bias is relative because it depends on norms in a particular society or culture. A behavior that may be considered deviant in one society may be accepted or even encouraged in another. The concept of deviation involves many aspects of social control, power, culture and social interaction, and is an important research field in sociology to understand the relationship between individuals and society and the formation and maintenance of social norms.

2.Mention of new, interesting

The article comprehensively involves functionalism, conflict theory and symbolic interactionism and other theoretical perspectives, and deeply analyzes the causes and effects of deviation. The comparison between different theories allows me to better understand the diversity and complexity of bias phenomena.

    Criminal behavior and social control are intricately linked in society. Social control mechanisms, like laws and norms, regulate behavior and maintain order. Failures in social control can lead to criminal behavior, as individuals may deviate from societal norms. Conversely, criminal behavior prompts adjustments in social control, such as new laws or stronger enforcement. This dynamic interaction underscores how societal norms and regulations both shape and respond to criminal conduct, highlighting the ongoing negotiation between individual actions and the broader framework of social order.

    There is a close relationship between criminal behavior and social control. Social control restrains and disciplines individual behavior and prevents the occurrence of crime through various means, while criminal behavior violates and challenges social control. In order to maintain the security and stability of society, it is necessary to continuously strengthen social control and raise the legal awareness and moral level of citizens, while at the same time cracking down on criminal behavior.
