What is the relationship between criminal behavior and social control?
Criminal behavior and social control are intricately linked in society. Social control mechanisms, like laws and norms, regulate behavior and maintain order. Conversely, criminal behavior prompts adjustments in social control, such as new laws or stronger enforcement. This dynamic interaction underscores how societal norms and regulations both shape and respond to criminal conduct, highlighting the ongoing negotiation between individual actions and the broader framework of social order.
