 1.Summary

Firstly, in the first class, I learned about the professor's requirements for the course and also how to access the professor's course materials as well as links to articles related to Wikipedia. Since I had never encountered or understood Wikipedia before, I was very interested in this class. After understanding the basic requirements of the course, I will definitely adhere to them and actively participate in the course. At the same time, I am very curious about blogs, and I will diligently edit my blog every week, hoping to improve my reading and information extraction skills through Wikipedia in this class.

2.interesting points

1)The professor encourages participatory learning through incentivized answering during class, utilizing a point-based system. This has ignited a strong enthusiasm within me for engaging in class discussions and has enabled me to actively 2)participate more effectively.                                                Editing my blog every week gives me a sense of structure and achievement in my learning journey. Similar to keeping a diary, documenting my weekly learning experiences in the blog fills me with a sense of accomplishment. Moreover, raising questions in my blog entries might lead to classroom discussions, which makes me feel more connected to the class.

3.Discussion

Is Wikipedia infallible? What are some areas where it falls short and needs improvement?

Comments

  1. Wikipedia, while being a widely referenced resource, is not entirely reliable. There are shortcomings and areas that need improvement, such as the potential for inaccurate or biased information due to anonymous editing, and some entries lacking depth and authoritative source support.
